2021-02-24 Coloring book about sarcasm and why people use it is now available – myös suomeksi!
Penny Pexmans lab is sharing their sarcasm research with kids: They have created a coloring book about sarcasm and why people use it. The book is available as a free download from http://childresearchgroup.ca
The book has been translated for multiple different languages, and it is also available in Finnish. This is very unique and cool project and I was verry happy to provide Finnish translation.

Tämä Pexmanin ja kumppaneiden luoma värityskirja opettaa 4-7-vuotiaille lapsille mitä sarkasmi on ja miksi ihmiset sitä käyttävät. Värityskirja perustuu tutkittuun tietoon ja oppien avulla, johon se perustuu, on saatu parannettua lasten sarkasmin ymmärtämisen tasoa. Sarkasmia esiintyy kielenkäytössä kaikkialla, esimerkiksi lastenohjelmissa ja perhee sisäisessä kommunikaatiossa. Tänä päivänä – erityisesti Inernetin käytön yleistymisen myötä – sarkasmin ymmärtämisestä on tullut tärkeä osa lasten medialukutaitoa. Tämän vuoksi tällainen tutkittuun tietoon perustuva työväline on tärkeä. Toivottavasti värityskirja löytää tiensä mahdollisimman monen lapsen käsiin myös Suomessa.
